Turtle Release

I got a quick facebook notice about the release of this turtle one day JUST in time to get the kids there for it.
It was awesome.
He was a 400 lb Lagerhead named Andre the Giant and he was really happy to see open ocean again, despite the creepiness of this huge crowd of humans.
It took 4 volunteers to carry him from the truck to the water's edge.

Best Part?

Seeing his little head come up for air on his way out to sea.

And just another reason why beach nature rocks.
