Halloween Decoration DIY

The girls LOVE decorating for any holiday.
And this year, they seem a little more open to a scary Halloween.

We decided to make some decorations that will last a lifetime,
that they can have in their own homes when they have children.

And of course used our natural talents to accomplish something fun and unique...

We picked out some creepy clothes, old dolls, and headed out to the historical (and creepy!) Pacetti gravesite here in Ponce Inlet for the first one.

Madee doesn't want to play with that doll anymore. ::cure creepy evil laugh::

For pumpkin patch pictures, I requested they give me their best impression of a zombie.
Then I edited it for fun.

This one was just naturally creepy.

This was my favorite.
Just cuteness and fun!

Then Madelyn and I went rogue for some ghost shots...

I don't even know if we are done yet!
We have been having so much fun!

We will be framing these in blask filigree frames, except the best one,
which will be blown up for spotlighting!

Creepy family photos! FUN!

Easter Bunnies

My girls were into Easter. If Madee could have her way, I would still be hiding eggs to run drills in the back yard.
Cutie Pie Easter Bunny face.

Ditto.

So, not kidding about the drills. I wanted the kids to be able to participate in an actual egg hunt with other kids and I didn't want them intimidated by any of it, so we started running drills int he back yard 2 weeks before Easter.

Every day.
"Look high! Look low! In the bushes! Go, go GO!"

All that prep really worked out weel. 2 baskets full of candy and not one egg full of ants.
Because YES, that actually happened to a couple of the kids on the hunt.

On Easter Day we had a couple of celebrations. Here they are with the baskets my parents brought over.

How about Eden in that itty bitty teeny weeny yellow polka dot bikini?

I die of the cute.

Pretty much all morning this kid looked like this (unwrapping candy)

Or this. (mouthful of candy)

Whosha wittle Eastew Bunnay?

Madee opening a golden egg full of MONIES!

Seriously, this kid is too cute.

And my favorite Easter present? This picture. It is the best of the 2 of them yet.

Easter Kisses.

Easter Business.

Happy girly.

During the home egg hunt, Madee was more than fair. As she found eggs, she would give every other one to Eden. That's the kind of stuff that makes me feel like maybe I am doing something right.

My girls. GUH.

We hope your Easter holidays was full of fun and family.
And chocolate. Lots and lots of chocolate*.

* NOT a good idea to ship chocolate to Florida. Just thought I'd mention it!

Happy New Year!

We are all kinds of excited going into this new year. Maybe it is all the sleep we have been getting, or maybe it is the holiday spirit, but we are feeling energized and ready to tangle with all kinds of new things this year!

We hope the close of 2010 was happy and safe for you and yours, and that you have a lot of inspiration and love going into 2011.

If you are looking for more money, may you find it. If you are looking for love may it waltz into your life and exceed all of your previous expectations. If you are looking for peace, may you be given the tools and the signs to simplify your life.

And whoever you are, however we differ, may your year be filled with laughter and joy. We hope to laugh with you sometime soon!

Christmas Eve and Day

P

Oh what fun!

Also? 50+ pieces and that is only from 1 present.
Yaaaaaay.

Part of the Santa display. That Madee walked right past. Twice. And then was all, "Did Santa come? Where are the presents?

Madee playing with Eden's Santa gift. First time Eden got something Madee would want.

And the lessons in sharing begin.

Eden is trying to provide scale for Dad's new coffee travel mug.

It's GINORMOUS!

Gingerbread Houses

The concentration here kills me. I love how both of my kids tongues are usually sticking out of their mouths.

And how E is just pounding candy because "screw the freaking gingerbread man!"

WHUT?
Now for brief concentration from E, plus "I crush your head" from M.

Memories with Neener? Priceless.

Here is the entire village, including a smashed up bank (thanks E) because I turned my head for approximately 3 seconds.

Christmas Picture

I will still try and get this out to all our loved ones, but for some reason, every time I tried to print it, something got messed up.

But there's no reason why you can't enjoy it here, hunh?

Look at these faces.

I love them.

We have been all kinds of sick over here, so getting to Christmas pictures has been slow. Hopefully today will be a good day for cleaning up around here!

Happy week between Christmas and New Year's!

Christmas Eve

Lots of things are stirring around here. Like wacky toddlers running around with runny noses and their heads cut off.

Have I ever told you how Eden is an animal person? I don't even thinks she knows it, but she is. All the animals LOVE her, no matter how HARD she loves back.

She tends to put the "OW" in "meow", hunh, Mr. Kiggy?

Eden and her Grandpa Tom (PopPop) headed for some barbecue. Did you know PopPop used to have porkchop sideburns and a mustache and he smoked a pipe?

How very beatnik of him.

Also? He never had barbecue until like, 6 years ago.

I wonder what he ate?

Also, sometime recently the girls and I went to our first "Girls at Starbucks" date. Here is Madee stirring up her "chocolate HOT".

Eden likes hers, too.

My life is like this ALL THE TIME:

"Can't catch ME!!"

"BABEEZH BABEEZH BABEEZH!"

With alot of cuteness in between.

Merry Christmas Eve, everybody. See you sometime after Santa comes!
