I can't believe how fast their little lives are progressing.

This has been the summer that they became best friends.

Here's a late look at the pumpkin patch pictures from before Halloween.
We found a nice patch of uglies in New Smyrna.


I am pretty sure they go for like $10 per wart.
So we browsed around for a while taking pictures.

Rearranged a few.
Wondered what they tasted like.


And then settled on some pie pumpkins that we actually ended up making soup out of last week.
They were amazing.

The Girls

Due to some technical difficulties, last week was a little heinous, but here we are.
The girls and I went to a garage sale last week, and before we left the house they got into my "hair bob and baby jewelry" bin and went wild accessorizing themselves.

Madee has a bra strap on as a necklace.
She is pretty much brilliant when it comes to style.


And Eden? Oh, you, pretty little Eden "bwashing" your "hay-oo" in your "DOWA DWESS!"

They seriously left the house like that, only also with purses.
And I had to walk around resuscitating everyone who laid eyes on them, because their cuteness was so overwhelming that everybody was DYING from it.

Like, they are literally, too freaking cute.

We have hurricane rumors flying around here, so we will be preparing for what we can before the storm hits. (if it does). We will keep in touch, but we have lots to do!

Surf Cream

It's what's for dessert. This is like Madee and Eden's "local bar". They love to walk up and hang out here. And the guy who scoops the cream calls them "The Dolphin Sisters".

And this is going to go down as our favorite new neighbor.

It's hard to find the ice cream through all that hair!

Packing Up

Somebody wants to make sure we don't leave her behind.


Moving is a HUGE change, for anybody and everybody, and sometimes things can get a little tense. We've known we were moving for 3 months almost, so until now, the hardest part of of the move was the waiting.

We've talked about it ALOT with the kids, in fact, 97% of the conversations Madee strikes up lead into a new house song from her heart.

(She's a singer!)

Anyhoo, now we are down to the next hard part, them watching things disassemble and disappear as we move it all to the new place. Which, of course we aren't doing in just one day, so they have time to really freak out.

And so do I.

So I am trying to remain super calm. And flexible. And supportive.

So I just keep looking at the pictures so I know exactly what I am looking forward to.

A Mother's Heart

I won't be getting all sentimental here, but, dude, I am one lucky mother. I tried to get the kids to start calling me "mother", and the sweetest thing all day long was Madee periodically remembering and then saying, "Happy MUDDERS day" throughout the day.


They just grow up so fast.
Madee is pumping her legs on the big swing now, and it blows my mind as she learns to do things without needing my help.


Watching them grow up on the daily, everything happens SO fast and wears me out, so that I sometimes don't realize how much is happening.

Then I look back at last Mother's Day and the one before that and I have to catch myself to keep from crying at how fast everything changes.


Because it really just changes SO FAST. 2 years ago, Eden wasn't even born yet.
Last year they were both still my babies, and now? they are little girls.

::sigh::


Oh these two. They are my heart. Ferocious and unyielding and all that is unicorns and rainbows. I have put everything I am into these 2 little people for that last 4 years of my life, and people?

Sometimes it still feels like that isn't enough.
They deserve EVERYTHING. Every chance, every hope, every dream, every love, every little last bit of every little thing in this world.

And I am so lucky to be able to give them everything I can.
Especially my love.

And oh, do they have every little bit of that.

Stomping on my heart with their sheer sweetness.

Anything that Madee says, Eden says, "Mee too!"
She doesn't want to be left out.
EVER.

I can't believe that THIS is my baby.
Babies are supposed to be little, and fragile, and helpless, but THIS?
This is already a little lady.


She has her own ideas and opinions and relationships and she is an amazing, brilliant, funny kid.
She is an illegal firecracker.


And her sweetness? Will melt your FACE off.


Just seeing her tears me apart and makes me whole all at the same time.
