Playgroup

Lately, staying at home is BAD so as soon as I can get us going in the mornings, the better.
Lucky me! , too! because guess what has two thumbs and is NOT a morning person?
This girl!

Not to mention it is SO HOT that we need to get to the playground long before noon because the playground gets the ouchy-hots and we have to come home for lunch anyway.

Except sometimes I get enough sleep and pack a lunch early enough that we have our own.

And the past 2 days we have playgrounded and splash parked totally randomly, yet happily together with another couple of girlies just 6 months each older than my own.

So that's a playgroup, right?

(I hope it counts as a playgroup!)

Here are some pictures of Pooder and Piggy's playgroup.
They have some ridiculous cutes.
Oh the love!

I Love: Elopements

I enjoy myself a good wedding.
But I prefer to photograph elopements.

They are intimate and not too fussy.

The details are simple .

It's a shoe-quet!

No matter what, when you shoot a wedding, it is huge, hard work. Even the little ones.

Because it doesn't matter how much her wedding costs, it is the bride's special day.

And I want her to be able to look back at her pictures and remember the day she felt like a queen.

The day she said "I do."

Forever and ever.

Because if I know one thing about weddings, it is this: they fly by in a swirl of frenetic feelings.

And she really wants to relive those feelings one picture at a time.

Congratulations, Jenny and Todd.

A Mother's Heart

I won't be getting all sentimental here, but, dude, I am one lucky mother. I tried to get the kids to start calling me "mother", and the sweetest thing all day long was Madee periodically remembering and then saying, "Happy MUDDERS day" throughout the day.

They just grow up so fast.
Madee is pumping her legs on the big swing now, and it blows my mind as she learns to do things without needing my help.

Watching them grow up on the daily, everything happens SO fast and wears me out, so that I sometimes don't realize how much is happening.

Then I look back at last Mother's Day and the one before that and I have to catch myself to keep from crying at how fast everything changes.

Because it really just changes SO FAST. 2 years ago, Eden wasn't even born yet.
Last year they were both still my babies, and now? they are little girls.

::sigh::

Oh these two. They are my heart. Ferocious and unyielding and all that is unicorns and rainbows. I have put everything I am into these 2 little people for that last 4 years of my life, and people?

Sometimes it still feels like that isn't enough.
They deserve EVERYTHING. Every chance, every hope, every dream, every love, every little last bit of every little thing in this world.

And I am so lucky to be able to give them everything I can.
Especially my love.

And oh, do they have every little bit of that.

Popsicles

And giggles and smiles.

They are all wrapped up in Tangled. here, sitting on a teeny Dora sofa.
Stomping on my heart with their sheer sweetness.

YUM.

Peter Piper

These would make the perfect pickles.
We are picking a handful every other day and they never last more than like, 5 minutes.

From the warm earth to our warm mouths and they always keep their cool.
Like RIGHT NOW it just dawned on me where the phrase "cool as a cucumber" came from.

Perfect.

Easter Bunnies

My girls were into Easter. If Madee could have her way, I would still be hiding eggs to run drills in the back yard.
Cutie Pie Easter Bunny face.

Ditto.

So, not kidding about the drills. I wanted the kids to be able to participate in an actual egg hunt with other kids and I didn't want them intimidated by any of it, so we started running drills int he back yard 2 weeks before Easter.

Every day.
"Look high! Look low! In the bushes! Go, go GO!"

All that prep really worked out weel. 2 baskets full of candy and not one egg full of ants.
Because YES, that actually happened to a couple of the kids on the hunt.

On Easter Day we had a couple of celebrations. Here they are with the baskets my parents brought over.

How about Eden in that itty bitty teeny weeny yellow polka dot bikini?

I die of the cute.

Pretty much all morning this kid looked like this (unwrapping candy)

Or this. (mouthful of candy)

Whosha wittle Eastew Bunnay?

Madee opening a golden egg full of MONIES!

Seriously, this kid is too cute.

And my favorite Easter present? This picture. It is the best of the 2 of them yet.

Easter Kisses.

Easter Business.

Happy girly.

During the home egg hunt, Madee was more than fair. As she found eggs, she would give every other one to Eden. That's the kind of stuff that makes me feel like maybe I am doing something right.

My girls. GUH.

We hope your Easter holidays was full of fun and family.
And chocolate. Lots and lots of chocolate*.

* NOT a good idea to ship chocolate to Florida. Just thought I'd mention it!

Countdown

Waiting to move into the next house has been the longest wait since I was pregnant.
But now we are in the home stretch.

I can't wait to share pictures, but until then enjoy a few of my favorite houses in our current neighborhood.

I mean, REALLY.

Who wouldn't love to live in these?

The little row of colorful houses nestled in the trees? Too. Cute.

I may have to have something like this at the new place.
I'm sure there's room for more new neighbors.
